Make Void work for you.

Common setup steps, fixes, and answers for Safari content blocking, DNS filtering, custom rules, and iCloud sync.

Quick setup

  1. Open Void and add a trusted Safari list such as EasyList from Content Blocker.
  2. Tap Update so Void can generate local Safari protection rules.
  3. Open Safari Extensions from Void and enable the Void content blocker extensions.
  4. Open DNS Filter, add a trusted DNS list such as AdGuard DNS, then update DNS protection.
  5. Turn on iCloud Sync if you want lists and custom rules to follow your Apple devices.

Safari blocking is not active

Go to Settings, then Safari, then Extensions, and enable the Void content blocker extensions. If you recently changed lists, return to Void and update protection again.

DNS filtering is not active

Open DNS Filter in Void, update protection, then turn on Connect. Your device may ask for permission to add a DNS configuration. Approve it so DNS filtering can run.

A website looks broken

Turn off the most recent list you added, update protection, and reload the site. If the site works again, leave that list off or add a custom allow rule for the site.

iCloud sync is not updating

Confirm that you are signed in to iCloud on each device and that iCloud Drive is enabled. Sync can take a moment, especially after a new install or a large list update.

Restore purchases

Open Settings in Void, choose Void Pro, then use Restore. Purchases are handled by Apple through your Apple Account.
